First I would like to apoligize, this last month or two has been insane. I have my graduation this saturday and my life has finally started to slow down. So time for updates!!
First the raised garden bed idea was a no go. Not enough money, so we rototilled and planted in the ground.

Under this sucker is a giant concrete block
This one to be exact. It measured about two feet long.
From here we planted peas, zuccini, red white onions and garlic.
Heres some photos I took today
New plant starts, Cherry tomatos, cucumbers, broccoli and lettuce

Beef Steak Tomatos

The only surviving cherry tomato

My first lily!!

Trash can potatoes, I ended up just using potatoes I found already growing in our garden
A little grown over

Compost bin is doing great!

Row of onions

Zuccinis

My half filled garden bed, carrots btw

I would have this side filled but dirt is expencive :(
Sorry everyone for the lack of updates. I'll have more time on my hands now to keep you updated on my gardening pursuit :)

Prototype!

Made today :) Cute carrot plant stakes

Little change of plans :)

So since looking into our lumber costs it doesnt make sence to buy the lumber we've come up with a new plan. We're planning to pay to rototill the garden and build out garden beds as we find free lumber. Most things will be planted in the ground but thats okay :) a little more work weeding the garden but nothing worth having is easy.
Sorry its been so long since on update. We've been brainstorming the last few days before finalizing our plan.
Oh also! We're thinking of selling little garden stakes, you know the ones that mark the rows and such, but make them look like carrots and peas and etc. I think that'd be super cute :) We're also thinking of trying to do a donation to our local homeless shelter. I think it'd be really neat if we could make them a little veggi garden and then donate the plant starts. We could make the beds from giant semi tires. I'd be really cool if the junkyard could donate those. We plan to sell veggi starts at the booth, I wonder if people would be interested in flower starts also..

Woah

Well stopping by the local lumber store my estimate on how much we'll need for lumber was far off. I'll be looking around locally for free wood but if we cant find any the rest of the lumber will cost around 200$. Hopefully somebody will be giving away from free lumber. I might raise the goal on our new fundraiser so if anybody wants they can donate to help with the lumber costs.
